Instructions for operating safely using cylinders,flex tubes and pumps
The following are the minimum use and maintenance precautions that users should follow.

Cylinders
– Always create a stable support at the base of the cylinder. For added stability, we recommend using the accessories, if provided.
– Never use cylinders that are equipped with them without a head, to avoid damage to the stem. The heads evenly distribute the load on the rod.
– Make sure that the two areas on which the cylinder develops its force are sufficiently solid and undeformable.
– The cylinder head must be adherent to the load, and the movement of the cylinder must always be on axis with the movement of the load.
– Avoid lifting off-axis loads that could irreparably damage the cylinder rod. The use of a self-levelling head allows a load offset of ± 5°.
– Do not operate near the load supported by the cylinders.
– Store hydraulic equipment away from heat sources above 65°C (150°F).
– Avoid excessive return stroke of the piston still encumbered by the load. Abrupt interruption of the return stroke generates damaging pressure surges in the hydraulic circuit.
– Do not subject components to a load higher than rated. Always use the pressure gauge to check the system pressure.
– For holding the load in place in addition to relying on the pump or control unit valve, use a piloted check valve. In case of supporting the load for a long time, choose a version with a safety ferrule.
– Never place body parts under the load: This must always be supported by a mechanical safety support.
– Under no circumstances should the maximum operating pressure indicated for each cylinder series be exceeded.

Hoses for hydraulics
– Arrange hoses away from the area below the load to prevent accidental tracing. Also protect them from trampling and falling heavy objects.
– Do not use hoses to lift hydraulic components.
– Before connecting the half couplings and grafts make sure they are carefully cleaned. Use dust caps when the couplings are not connected.
– Disconnect the cylinder only when the rod is fully retracted.
– Do not bend the hoses. The bending radius must not be less than 70 mm.
Pumps
– Fill the pump to the indicated level and only when the connected cylinder is fully retracted.
– Do not use lever extensions in manual pome . Their operation is easy if maneuvered correctly.
– It is necessary to use only the hydraulic oil indicated in the Operation and Maintenance Manuals. The viscosity and lubricity characteristics chosen by the Manufacturer, ensure maximum efficiency of use, longer equipment life and the integrityè of the seals.
– It is appropriate that the temperature of the hydraulic fluid should not exceed 60°C.
